In two thousand and twenty-two, I went to British Columbia to go tree planting. Leaving from Montreal, a friend and I traveled across Canada, ending up in Prince George on the way. There was a gloomy and ominous feeling while driving through Prince George. It was a rainy day, and we were driving by the trainyards. I wanted to quickly capture this moment in a short ten-second video that I took while driving through. At the time, I was embarking on my second season of tree planting, which is a hard and laborious job. I was nervous about the ordeal. Afterwards, I chose to represent this moment as a kind of reminder of the feeling I had before the season. My season turned out very well in British Columbia and, in some way, lifted my spirits. I came back to Montreal and started painting.

This artwork is a comssion given to me by Brad, a friend from work at tree planting. The artwork depicts Brad and his grandmother having a road trip toegther. It was a christmas present from brad to his grandmother.

This is a commissioned painting for a friends wedding.

This artwork was inspired by my idea of a tropical forest. I approached it with the same stylistic elements I use when painting Canadian forests. As a Canadian artist and professional tree planter, the tropics seem distant and dreamy to me as a subject matter. I tried to convey the feeling of being in an oasis of formidable and visceral nature. The tropics can be terrifying for humans, yet life thrives in them, with plants growing tall and humidity heavy in the air.

This is a photo collage and imaginatory expressive work. The fact of us humans being great apes intrigued me, I juxaposed this notion with images of Montreal, where I currently live.

This is a sequence of pictures I took of the garbage truck passing and the men doing their work. Movement and the passing of time in important here. Dynamic narratives is what I'm after.
